License renewal
Montana real estate license renewal and CE
Renewals are handled by the Montana Board of Realty Regulation (Department of Labor and Industry). Summary checked against the official sources in October 2026.
Renewal cycle
All Montana real estate licenses expire October 31 each year. Renewal opens 60 days before; renewing at the last minute can lead to late fees.
Continuing education
- At least 12 hours of continuing real estate education every licensing year (November 1 through October 31) for active licensees.
- All ARELLO courses are approved for Montana CE credit.
