Wisconsin real estate license renewal and CE

Renewal cycle
Wisconsin licenses run on a biennium from December 15 of an even year to December 14 of the next even year. Renewal opens about 4 weeks before expiration in LicensE.
Continuing education
- 18 hours of CE per biennium: 12 hours of mandatory content and 6 hours of electives.
- Courses must be preapproved by the Real Estate Examining Board.
Late or expired
- If your license has been expired 5 or more years, you apply through the separate Renewal After 5 Years method.
